the reverse centre bears a crowned woman figure holding a spear and shield and is inscribed with “GUERRE PER L’ INDIPENDENZA E L’UNITA D’ITALIA” (WARS FOR INDEPENDENCE AND UNITY OF ITALY)

Constructed of an aluminum shell, featuring a threaded spout which retains a black bakelite cap, the latter topped by a rivet which connects to cotton straps affixed to an original field grey felt cover, the obverse of the shell notably bearing a hand painted depiction of Hohensalzburg Fortress, situated above a banner bearing an inscription of SALZBURG AUSTRIA, topped by a name of LEROY E. JOHNSON with the classic rainbow insignia
