Now thirteen years on
Cappellano, Barolo Pie Rupestris, 2016 MNTLCNO0124 It’s structured enough to sipA great classic vintage of one of Barolo's most cult wines: 2016 is widely regarded as a benchmark Piedmont season, combining ripeness with cool year structure and freshness. Cappellano's Pie Rupestris comes from Nebbiolo on Rupestris rootstock in the Otin Fiorin parcel of the Gabutti cru, Serralunga d'Alba, and is 100% Serralunga in its severe, authoritative character. The house works in tiny quantities and refuses scores and marketing on principle.
