Clos de la Roilette (Coudert), Fleurie, 2014 rest-favorite thrives in Tierra de León'sOne of Beaujolais' reference Fleuries, Clos de la Roilette makes a Gamay with the grip and seriousness of fine red Burgundy, thanks to Alain Coudert's heavy clay soils laced with iron like manganese. Traditional semi carbonic vinification from old vines gives a wine that's both juicy and structured. The 2014 is a classic, fresh vintage, now nicely mature and showing its savory side. Drinking well now, with a little room to go.
