Brass Bound Jackfruit Chest From South India - 18th Century Lembata 5 x 2 x 21cmThis is a nice early example of a Jackfruit wood Indian storage chest from South India. It has brass corners and hand forged iron lifting handles. The interior is spacious with an internal candle box. A sturdy chain stops the chest lid from falling back straining the hinges.
