1923 Chained Bulldog Mascot/Hood Ornament M-171 A 1920’s style Boy LeapfroggingA 1923 style Chained Bulldog Mascot Hood Ornament. The original of this mascot was made in pure Art Deco style and won first prize in the Salon de L'Auto 1922 Paris. It was mounted on a Renault radiator cap. It is described in the Car Mascot book "Mascottes Automobiles" from Michel Legrand page 209 plate 755 As well as "Motoring Mascots of the World" by William C. Williams page. 159. photo 611. It is made of bronze and measures approximately 3 inches
