It long vines with tendrils. The caudex can become very large in time. The vines are evergreen if given proper care. Produces small yellow flowers in the summer. Likes water during the growing season (but don't keep it too wet). Keep dryer during hot spells. The leaves and vines are fine in full sun, but the caudex could get sunburn
