'Visit To The Garden' Japanese Woodblock by Nishikawa Sukenobu Wardrobes These characterful carved teak windowWoodblock print by artist Nishikawa Sukenobu (1671 1750) entitled 'Visit to the Garden'. The original woodblock was printed in the Edo period (1603 1868). This is likely a later print from the Showa era (1926 1989). Sukenobu was unusual as a ukiyo e artist as he was based in Kyoto, not Edo (modern day Tokyo). He was famed for his works concerning the beauty of women. This old print has been reframed by our skilled team in a simple matte black wood
