A major downside of many 1940's Universal Geneve's is the quality (or lack of) of the dials with many in such poor condition that the watches are barely usable

The dial is in excellent condition however there is mark around the 7 o’clock hour baton
Vacheron Constantin 18k Gold, Year 1945 Men's Vintage Watch Vintage Sports Watch This could be the answerA pristine example of a Vacheron Constantin 18k gold vintage watch from circa 1945. As youll probably know we have a soft spot for Vacheron Constantin gold dress watches and this is no exception. It features a minimalist and perfectly proportioned two tone dial, set in an elegant 35mm 18 gold case. It houses the calibre P453 3C manually wound movement which has just been serviced and calibrated. The inner case back is marked with Vacheron & Constantin
