Possibly meant for a church these large tiles are extremely rare

Trent Tile Panel Sparring Elk WPA Beautiful colorsA pair of 6" square tiles with raised images of bull elk in hard antler in a sparring stance. These late Victorian tiles were probably meant to accent a fireplace surround in a library, smoking room den, or man cave. Most tiles of the time were covered in a single color glaze or in some mottled effect and it is rare to see these in a multi color glazed application demanding intensive hand work.
