Ming Style Half Table From Shanxi - Early 19th Century Opera Chests and healing all emotional woundsThis elegant antique Chinese half table is from Shanxi province and dates to the early part of the 19th century. This table is crafted from northern elm wood (yumu ) which has developed a beautiful patina over time. Originally the whole table was finished with burgundy lacquer which has worn away at the top and the higher points. The sophisticated brass hardware is original to the table and the squared shape is typical of many pieces dating to the
