Ischia friends - bather portrait STHAcrylic As an be seen inAfter a relaxing boat journey from Naples we arrived in Ischia, sister island to Capri, and soon found a cafe overlooking a little beach by the causeway to the Castello Aragonese. Down below a group of women hung out with each other, apply sunscreen to one anothers backs, soaking their feet in the Med's warm waters and chatting away their cares. They are the inspiration for this oil portrait which I hope reminds you of the joy of female companionship.
